Salary Range: $85,000.00 To $104,500.00 Annually
Job Summary:
The SCCM/MECM Desktop Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and managing the SCCM/MECM infrastructure and ensuring the efficient management of endpoints across the organization. The role includes serving as a subject matter expert (SME) for the desktop team, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to junior team members. This position also requires passing a California Law Enforcement Telecommunications (CLETS) background check and authorization to work in the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain endpoint management solutions using SCCM/MECM and Intune.
- Create and manage deployment packages, task sequences, and application deployments.
- Ensure all endpoints comply with security policies and adhere to industry regulations.
- Implement and manage security baselines and endpoint protection configurations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain patch management strategies for both operating systems and applications.
- Monitor, report, and ensure patch compliance across the organization.
- Investigate and resolve complex endpoint issues in a timely manner.
- Provide escalated support for advanced troubleshooting and technical problems.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation for all endpoint management processes and configurations.
- Develop and update knowledge base articles for frequently encountered issues and their resolutions.
- Identify opportunities to automate endpoint management tasks for improved efficiency.
- Develop scripts and automation workflows as needed to enhance operational effectiveness.
Required Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with SCCM/MECM as a primary job function.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proven experience managing MECM, Autopilot, and Intune in large enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of Windows operating systems, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
- Experience with endpoint security tools such as Microsoft Defender, and a solid grasp of best security practices.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, VBScript, etc.).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Microsoft certifications related to MECM and Intune are highly desirable.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for most of the day.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a printer/copy machine.
- This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office.
- The person in this position frequently communicates via telephone.
