Role Summary
This role supports the CIO/CDO through the implementation of data governance, data architecture & design, data quality initiatives, and community engagement programs through information sharing to harmonize the development of data infrastructure.
What You Will Be Doing
- Create and maintain architectural documentation that graphically depicts and describes operating environments (i.e., Development through Production) from data acquisition to delivery.
- Write Data Integration/Ingestion pipelines using Python/Pyspark
- Work with stakeholders to produce conceptual, logical, and physical models to capture entities, attributes, and relationships for relational (SQL)/non-relational (NoSQL) and normalized (3NF)/dimensional (star/snowflake) models.
- Research and propose solutions to unify data from disparate data sources with different formats such as relational (SQL), non-relational (NoSQL), transactional (OLTP), analytical (OLAP), graph databases, row/column databases, structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data.
- Research and curate relevant information relating to leading cloud platforms (AWS preferred), ETL/analytical tools, best practices, and technical advancements in the industry to improve or accelerate data implementations.
- Research and prepare briefings within working groups that describe ideas, analysis of alternatives w/recommendations, solution architectures, expected benefits, risks w/mitigation measures, timelines, etc.
- Support the identification of the gap between business and technology with solution proposals that maximize data assets across the enterprise.
- Leverage experience to apply data governance policies and data management practices to support the implementation of secure and reliable solutions using COTS software like Collibra
What We Need From You
- A minimum of 3+ years of direct experience in data modeling and building data pipelines
- Exposure to Data Architecture
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake and / or Data Bricks is a plus
- Experience writing code with Python/Pyspark
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Preferred)
- Solid understanding of data and how data can be used to mature capabilities, internally within the company and externally with our customers
- Capable of translating business requirements into technical solutions, leveraging existing IT investments and proposing new technologies/tools/approaches.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- US citizenship is required (No exceptions)

Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of experience OR 6+ years without a Bachelor’s Degree
