Job Description:

Data Engineer| Remote

Optomi, in partnership with a global leader in the retail industry, is seeking a Data Engineer/Analyst to join their team!

**Must complete training on-site, then role will become remote**

What the right candidate will have:

• Experience with Python
• Creating dashboards from scratch in Tableau
• SQL querying experience
• Experience working in supply chain or retail
• Bachelor's Degree

Responsibilities of the right candidate:

• Building out data pipelines with Python for machine learning purposes
• Creating dashboards from scratch within Tableau.
• Heavy SQL.
• Building complex queries to drive action by other teams.
• Potentially a little bit of data science as we think through complexity action to be taken.
• Strong data validation and efficiency to ensure what we build is not dragging our slot utilization.
• Collect data from various sources, including databases, data warehouses, external datasets, and surveys.
• Ensure data quality by identifying and rectifying errors, inconsistencies, and missing values.
• Organize and maintain data in a structured manner, often using databases or data warehouses.
• Present findings to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and meetings.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to inform decision-making.
