As a Member of the Technical Staff - Developer Experience, you will have a broad mandate to make Chroma’s DX incredible for users and contributors across the development lifecycle of prototype, staging, and production.
Your work in this role will make your friends and millions of other developers happy when they use Chroma.
We can’t write the script for you - we can’t give you a backlog of tickets to burn down. This role requires proactivity and rolling up your sleeves.
This is not a “developer relations” role. While you will likely interface with the community on Github and Discord to keep your ear to the ground, we expect the vast majority if your time will be writing great software in deep collaboration with other teams at Chroma.
- You have 2+ years of professional engineering experience
- You hold yourself to a high bar of quality, craft, and speed
- You’ve probably worked in early stage startups or early stage teams and can ruthlessly prioritize and design your own roadmaps.
- You enjoy identifying and solving problems!
- You intuitively understand and have strong opinions about what great developer experience looks like and feels like.
- Experience with contributing to and/or maintaining significant open source project is desirable
