Chief Engineer

Chief Engineer – Dedham, MA – Up to $65k

We are working with a well-established hotel group to find a Chief Engineer for their property in Boston, MA. This role offers a great opportunity to lead the maintenance team and ensure the highest standards of functionality and safety throughout the hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform regular walk-throughs to assess the safety, efficiency, and maintenance of the hotel’s physical structure, including mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems
• Oversee routine maintenance across public spaces, meeting rooms, outlets, and staff areas, ensuring all repairs, replacements, and renovation projects are completed as assigned
• Implement and maintain energy management and preventative maintenance programs, offering training to other departments on the safe and efficient use of hotel equipment and resources
• Provide regular updates to department heads on the condition of the building and equipment, proposing cost-effective maintenance solutions
• Organize and manage inventory systems for tools, materials, and equipment needed for maintenance activities within the property

What they are looking for:

• Three+ years of hotel or similar industry building maintenance experience
• Strong expertise in electrical systems, HVAC, boilers, and mechanical systems maintenance and repair
• In-depth knowledge of public construction, building systems, permits, licenses, and relevant fire safety and building codes
