Job Description SummaryThe Assembly Process Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes within the Lynn Assembly Test Organization (LATO). In this role you will utilize your experience to solve technical problems, develop and execute objectives, coach global teams, communicate to leadership, and drive business goals. The role focuses on supporting Assembly Rotor Stack and Balance for GE Aerospace production and overhaul facilities through best practice development and leveraging.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesFamiliar with rotor structure hardware and engine assemblySolid understanding of vector math and staticsCreate and teach training materials related to engine assembly rotor stack and balance best practicesExecute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirementsAct as a mentor to global engine assembly rotor teams. Be an expert and consulting resource to colleagues and customersProvide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned projectDocument technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and proceduresCommunicate and present key project milestones regularly to the leadership teamParticipate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviewsWork directly with global teams to leverage assembly best practices across sitesBe the technical liaison to equipment manufacturers providing technical specifications and assuring on-time machine/equipment deliverySome domestic and international travel requiredRequired QualificationsBachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of Manufacturing and/or Production)At least 3 years of Manufacturing and/or Production experienceDesired CharacteristicsStrong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systemsSolid oral and written communication skills.
