Cybersecurity Engineer - TS/SCI Clearance Required - Located at Kirtland AFB, NM
Job Description
IPSecure is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support our Space Systems Command (SSC) customer in Albuquerque, NM. Our candidate will ensure that the cybersecurity architecture and design of the customer's systems are functional and secure with the ability to protect, detect, and respond. Recommends mitigation efforts for cybersecurity events. Oversees system and network designs that encompass multiple computer and network devices to include those with differing data protections/classification requirements. You will be involved in all aspects of cybersecurity operations and will partner with program/site leads as well as government staff and mission partners to maintain an effective information security program.
Responsibilities

• Provides security engineering, integration services, technical assessments, and solutions to enable Defensive Cyberspace Operations.
• Defines system security requirements, assesses system security architecture designs, and supports the development and sustainment of an enterprise Risk Management Framework (RMF) Accreditation package through all lifecycle phases
• Supports cybersecurity activities for space, ground, operations, logistics, and sustainment elements of the Remote Sensing enterprise by identifying risks, issues, and interdependencies between system elements, contracts and stakeholders.
• Developing DCO and incident response Tactics, Techniques and Procedures to monitor and protect the system from cyber-attacks.

Basic Qualifications

• Active DoD TS/SCI government clearance
• Requires a DoD 8140 (was DoD 8570) IASAE Level II certification (CASP + CE, CISSP or CSSLP)
• 9+ years of experience with Bachelors Degree
• 3+ years of experience in Cybersecurity Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise with NIST 800-53 RMF, and related DOD Cyber laws, standards, tools, and guidance (e.g. STIGs, eMASS)
• Hands-on experience obtaining and maintaining IATT, ATC, and ATO in a DOD environment.
• Recent experience with one or more of the following: HBSS/ESS, ACAS, SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk), eGRC tools (e.g., eMASS), STIG implementation, SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC), Vulnerator, scripting tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell, etc.), SolarWinds, Palo Alto firewalls.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
