Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Software Developer to fill an open position with one of our banking clients. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the automation of metadata functions, particularly focusing on developing and maintaining software for operating systems, networked systems, and database systems.

Role Summary:

• Develop and maintain software for operating systems, networked systems, and database systems.
• Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, and resolve customer problems.
• Direct software system testing and validation procedures, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Inform stakeholders about project status, proposals, and technical issues, facilitating smooth communication.
• Establish a user-friendly front end for API interfaces.
• Write APIs and Python code to automate metadata functions.
• Collaborate with various lines of business and vendor support for proper integration.
• Provide mission-critical support to vendors as necessary.

The Ideal Candidate

Qualifications/Skills Needed:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field.
• 8+ years of experience in software development.
• Proficiency in Java, J2EE, and Springboot.
• Experience with API design/development and Linux scripting.
• Knowledge of JDBC connections/integrations and OAuth authentications.
• Familiarity with Docker and maintaining/developing software in production environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
