Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Database Developer to join our team in Addison, TX. This hybrid role requires 3 days in-office, with a possibility of scaling back to 2 days a week in the future. The successful candidate will focus on analyzing healthcare financial data and building insightful reports to drive business decisions.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business users and analysts to gather and understand reporting requirements.
  • Analyze healthcare financial data to create meaningful and actionable reports.
  • Develop and standardize reporting objects, data structures, and logic at the database layer.
  • Design, build, and automate Power BI reports, ensuring flexibility, scalability, and quality.
  • Adhere to best practices for development, QA, deployment, and source code management.
  • Maintain proper documentation and provide walkthroughs of definitions and metrics.
  • Coordinate closely with other developers to streamline processes and optimize performance.
  • Gain a deep understanding of underlying data and business rules to assist other teams.
  • Utilize agile methodology to track and communicate progress on deliverables.
  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities proactively and reactively.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business and IT users, both onshore and offshore.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience building objects in SQL Server, including tables, stored procedures, and views.
  • 3+ years of experience building reports in Power BI.
  • 1+ years of experience using Agile methodology.
  • 1+ years of experience working with Healthcare or Financial data.
  • Strong ability to quickly understand data relationships and analyze data.
  • Ability to grasp and articulate dependencies between processes and data swiftly.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Initiative-driven and capable of managing and completing multiple concurrent projects timely.


Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working with Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management data (highly desired).
  • Experience with Azure DevOps.
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working with offshore teams.


Assessment:

Candidates will be given an assessment during the first interview, conducted via Teams call.
