Essential Functions:
- Assist District Manager with general tasks
- Responsible for ensuring safe operations as well as compliance with all OSHA regulations, all applicable laws, and Pilot’s Corporate Policies
- Effectively train, supervise, coach, and evaluate all direct reports to foster good communications and morale
- Review operational key performance measures monthly as well as benchmarking data to drive any required correctional or improvement strategies
- Responsible for ongoing process analysis of operational systems, procedures, and staffing to drive continuous improvement in operating efficiencies
- Oversee the warehouse operations including supervising direct reports
- Oversee all aspects of the Operations Department and employees
- Delegate duties and responsibilities
- Communicate freight status and any problems to customers, vendors, and other Pilot stations and personnel
- Handle freight via forklift
- Load/Off-load build trucks for optimal routing
- Ensure responsibility for all the stations domestic KPI’s
- Other duties as assigned
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
- Customer service background preferred
- Ability to read key elements of financial statements in support of functional role responsibilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Superior organizational and time management skills
- Approachable and motivated
- Knowledge of systems utilized as it relates to logistics
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
- Detail-oriented and analytical
- Understanding of TSA regulations
- Strong problem-solving abilities
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 5 years experience in lieu of degree
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of five (5) years in Operations Management, preferably in transportation and logistics
- Experience with DOT regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
- 3 years of Routing and Operations Experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This is a clerical administrative position in a professional office setting. The employee is frequently required to sit, occasionally stand, walk, use hands, stoop, bend, and reach. Extensive use of a phone and a PC is required. Position may require working remotely at times.

Pay Range:
$90,000
The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
