Job title: Application Engineer

Job Summary:
Emerson Automation Solutions, Isolation Valves is looking for an Application Engineer position to support Isolation Valve product opportunities in North & West African countries. The position shall be based in Egypt, Cairo. The candidate is required to be a French speaker.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Qualify customer requests for quotation to ensure that a quote will meet the customers’ application and operational needs.
2. Prepare customer quotations that are timely, technically accurate, commercially verified, offering the best all-round solution.
3. Convert the MRO replacement enquiries to Solution Selling opportunities by understanding customer pains and proposing beneficial solutions.
4. Maintain CRM data integrity for quote records and win/loss analysis.
5. Work closely with factories & BDMs to enhance local quote capability and improve quote accuracy.
6. Prepare quote in Oracle CPQ system and update CRM.
7. Work with order management team to provide a clean handover of orders with supporting documents and attend kick-off meetings if required.
8. Achieve the KPIs set for the function like service levels (RDSL/PDSL) of quote response time & Hit Ratio.
9. Enforce to local and international Emerson trade compliance procedures in connection with all transactions and business practices.
10. Fulfill any other reasonable duties as required.

For this job you will need:
Degree in Mechanical / Instrumentation Engineering with a minimum of 4-6 years of consecutive experience in the valve industry.

Preferred Qualifications:
Working experience with major valve OEMs in an Application / Inside Sales role.
Experience in handling Middle East & Africa customers.
