Job Description
NAOVI is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with Cloud development expertise to support the design, development, and deployment of advanced cybersecurity capabilities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborating within Agile Scrum teams as a key contributor responsible for the design, testing, and implementation of advanced cybersecurity software capabilities.
- Developing and performing automated builds, testing, and deployments.
- Developing high-quality technical documentation, including user guides, test plans, and contract deliverable items, and supporting product training.
- Supporting risk assessments and developing risk mitigation countermeasures.
Required Skills
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Must currently have an Active Secret clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
- Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability.
- 8+ years of directly relevant software development experience.
- 4+ years of experience with Agile software development.
- Experience with cloud-oriented development using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Microsoft Azure.
- Experience working on projects that implement analytic models into production systems.
- Possesses or quickly develops a comprehensive understanding of Government Information Security policies, regulations, and guidelines.
- Strong experience with one or more of the following programming languages: Java, Python, and JavaScript.
- Experience with Linux/Unix and Shell Scripting.
- Demonstrated experience with one or more of the following database technologies: SQL, Oracle, MySQL, JDBC, NoSQL, etc.
- Ability to create well-modularized, maintainable software and willingness to follow group coding standards and design.
- Proficiency with MS Office Applications.
Desired Skills
- Demonstrated experience with one or more of the following front-end (UI) technologies: ReactJS, AngularJS, etc.
- Experience with Elastic Cloud Enterprise (ECE), Kibana, Logstash, Hadoop.
- Experience and/or familiarity with DevOps, Continuous Development/Continuous Integration concepts, and automated test tools such as Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes, JIRA, Git, Chef, Ansible, Puppet, JUnit, JMeter, RSpec, and/or Cucumber.
- Certifications related to Agile development and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) such as Scrum Master, Product Owner, SAFe Agilist (SA), SAFe Practitioner (SP).
- Technical understanding of cybersecurity attack techniques and associated mitigation techniques.
Required Education
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, OR Computer Systems Engineering. (Eight (8) years of experience (for a total of fourteen (14) or more years) may be substituted for a degree.)
Desired Certifications
- Agile software development methodology certification (e.g. SCRUM Master) highly desired.
- DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II.
- CSSLP.
