Techno is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer to join our dynamic Construction Management team on a project in Manhattan. In this role you will oversee the coordination and execution of various construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project scope, schedules, contractor procedures, and technical aspects to ensure projects are delivered successfully within budget and timelines.

Job Description:

  • Oversee project scope, scheduling, contractor procedures, and resolution of construction issues, ensuring successful project delivery within budget and timeline constraints.
  • Manage various aspects of construction projects, primarily focusing on airport and building concrete work, civil site work, paving work, drainage systems, structural elements, and maintenance of traffic.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in handling electrical, environmental, and plumbing aspects related to construction projects.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing construction work, encompassing a variety of project sizes (ranging from $5 Million to $100 Million plus) and complexities (involving multiple crews and crew sizes per shift).
  • Familiarity with NYCDOT and NYCDEP Standards and Requirements.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Must have OSHA 10 hour certification.
  • Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as strong presentation abilities.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Expedition, OneDrive, SharePoint, eBuilder, and MS Teams.
  • Must be willing and able to work night and weekend shifts, as well as to accommodate late or early hours as necessary.
  • Desirable certifications include ICC/NICET Level 3 in Asphalt or Highway Construction; Special Inspector Certifications in Concrete Placement, Reinforced Concrete & Structural Masonry; ACI Concrete Special Inspector; and Work Zone Safety Certifications.
