Job Summary:
Cubic is seeking a dynamic Senior Project Engineer to lead and support exciting projects in the Northeastern Region. You'll work closely with the Program Manager to drive new business development while coordinating with remote engineering teams around the globe. In this hands-on, technical leadership role, you'll apply systems engineering expertise, manage software configurations, and ensure seamless system integration to meet customer needs. This position offers substantial decision-making authority and requires proficiency in Oracle databases, remote system access, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Work Location : Downtown Philadelphia (2-3 days / week in the office)
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage system design, integration, testing, and software releases, ensuring customer needs are met within technical and cost constraints.
- Provide technical leadership to engineering teams, ensuring smooth project execution and system performance.
- Collaborate with customers and troubleshoot field and back-office issues, maintaining high levels of satisfaction.
- Stay current with advancements in systems engineering and apply them to improve system solutions.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and vendors for seamless system integration.
- Oversee production environments, troubleshoot issues, and document anomalies using JIRA.
- Support business proposals, vendor evaluations, and design reviews, ensuring quality and performance standards.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, with 5+ years of experience in the transit fare collection or electronic payment systems industry, focusing on third-party system integrations.
- Proficiency with industry-standard tools including Atlassian Jira/Confluence, DOORS, EPDM, and Oracle database client, as well as spreadsheets and word processing software.
- Proven ability to interface with customers, vendors, and subcontractors, and effectively collaborate with teams at all levels within the engineering organization.
- Strong understanding of customer needs, competitive products, and emerging technologies in the payment systems domain.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex engineering challenges.
- Ability to thrive under tight project deadlines and manage cost and schedule constraints in a fast-paced environment.

Cubic Pay Range:
$97,688 - $134,322+ benefits.
