Job Description

Role: Lead Software Engineer

Duration: 6+ Months

Will be leading a team of 3 developers, working with BAs and PMs.

Duties:

1. Lead engineering teams of 3-5 providing technical direction and mentorship.
2. Manage the day-to-day activities of the development team(s) ensuring the coordination of individual team deliverables are synchronized as necessary to achieve product releases.
3. Partner with business experts to elicit and translate business requirements into technological solutions.
4. Coordinate development activities within an Agile development environment.
5. Ensure that best practices for coding, architecture, and security are employed across your teams consistently, and maintain responsibility for the quality development of internal and external applications.
6. Provide hands-on development and mentoring as necessary for other members of the development team.
7. Implement systems based on well-defined SLAs.

Skills:

1. Experience leading small teams of 3 or more software engineers.
2. Working knowledge of Angular, ReactJS, NodeJS, MongoDB, AWS skills preferred.
3. Demonstrated experience developing/managing commercial grade software solutions in a SOA at scale.
4. Advanced competency in Object-Oriented programming and design.
5. BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
6. A solid command of relational and NoSQL database technologies.
7. Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills, good analytical and debugging skills, systematic approach to system architecture design and programming tasks.
8. Minimum 5+ years development experience, 2+ years team management experience.
9. Prior experience in startup environment a plus.
