Senior Interior Designer

Our client, a high-end residential interior design studio located in River North, is seeking a Project Director (residential interior designer) to manage all aspects of assigned interiors projects in collaboration with the owner as well as the Senior Project Director. Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with owner & SPD to develop concepts, sketches, draft of documents and specifications for assigned projects.
2. Manage all aspects of the assigned project including, but not limited to, client/vendor relationships, vendor/contractor relationships, design process, drawings, proposals, budget documents, etc.
3. Work with team to create the scope of work, establish timelines and schedules for every part of the project.
4. Serve as main liaison between SPD and the vendors, as well as with the Architectural team, Expediting and Accounting departments.
5. Research and source material, hardware, fabrics, furniture, treatments and accessories as determined by the requirements of each project. Create and update all appropriate related schedules for the project.
6. Prepare and manage all project documents, including, but not limited to, orders, proposals, inventory, plans, project binders, files, correspondence, all drawings, client baskets, samples, etc.
7. Supervise assigned project Assistants and team in the preparation of all project boards, books and any samples for Client meetings and presentation.
8. Coordinate with Architectural team to confirm that all interiors drawings and documents correspond with the CDs, and that all proposed items fit in the plans/elevations prior to client presentation.
9. Prepare all custom purchase orders and manage interiors staff for all other material orders with vendors per the direction and approval of Senior Project Director.
10. Make site visits to each assigned project, reporting in Site Visit Report on all status.
11. Confirm and coordinate weekly with accounting department to ensure timely billing of balances due for items and manage all details of client installations.

Requirements:

1. 6-9 years of residential interior design experience
2. CAD, Excel, Photoshop, Studio Designer and/or related programs
