Overview:
What you can expect:
In this position you will develop good project organizational skills by supporting all aspects of an electrical engineering project. You will work alongside a senior automation engineer developing control systems for high speed proprietary packaging equipment contributing to such things as:
Generating bill of materials
Ordering/receiving parts associated with BOM
Generating electrical schematics using AutoCAD
Assembly of electrical panels and wiring harnesses
Setting up and configuring industrial PC’s’ and PLC’s
Developing/modifying logic
Hands-on experience retrofitting blow molding machinery in the field
Responsibilities:
Goal of Program:
Enhance technical understanding of control systems in a high speed packaging environment
Experience in managing an electrical engineering project
Technical understanding of electrical schematics
Thorough understanding of panel building and control system retrofits
Learn industry electrical standards such as NEC, NFPA70E, and UL508A
Understand efficient processes and machine reliability
Example Projects:
Retrofitting Automation Direct PLC’s on Graham extrusion blow molder with a Beckhoff control system and GPC proprietary logic.
Installing instrumentation on an extrusion blow molder necessary for statistical process control
Installing conveyor/line control systems on new production lines
Qualifications:
What we’re looking for:
Level: Advanced Sophomore, Junior, Senior, Electrical/Computer Engineering (all non-graduating)
Basic knowledge of packaging materials, package manufacturing processes, and distribution systems
Capable of working in both individual and team settings
Seeking highly energetic, creative, and motivated individuals
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Minimum Qualifications - Each candidate is expected to:
Graduate with Bachelor’s degree within one (2) year of Co-Op completion.
Be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future work authorization or visa sponsorship for employment.
Compensation Statement:
The expected salary range for the position described in this posting is made in accordance with the legal mandates of certain jurisdictions within the United States. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience.
Benefits Statement:
Benefits include medical, dental, vision and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in the company’s 401K Employee Saving Plan and may participate in its Employee Wellness Program. Employees will also receive paid time off in accordance with company policy and state law requirements.
