Job Description
Working under a Senior or Associate Engineer, staff in this position perform field and office civil engineering work related to the planning, design, and construction of private residential and commercial land development projects. Duties include CADD drafting, preparing plan sheets, utility and grading design, creating surface models, calculating earthwork volumes, developing grading and improvement plans and preparing cost estimates. Knowledge of hydrology, WaterCAD, StormCAD or XPSWMM is a plus.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
BSCE from an A.B.E.T. Accredited University preferred
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate preferred
Valid California Drivers License
Preferred Skills
Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Knowledgeable with water, sewer and storm drain design and the use of Civil 3D Pipe Networks.
Knowledgeable with grading design to include roadways utilizing Civil 3D corridors.
Knowledgeable with AutoCAD Sheet Set Manager.
Knowledgeable with water and storm water modeling software.
Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite software.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Adept at working in a team environment, as well as independently.
