We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of our on-prem Windows Server infrastructure as well as our Azure cloud platform. This role requires expertise in Windows Server administration, Azure Cloud Services, and a strong understanding of cloud computing principles. The Senior Systems Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our on-prem and Cloud based Infrastructure.
Minimum Experience Requirements

  • This position requires at least ten years of progressive experience in Systems Engineering with five or more of those years supporting Azure Cloud Services.
  • Documented experience with the following technologies: Windows Server Infrastructure, Active Directory, Entra ID, VMware, Azure Enterprise Applications/App Registrations (SAML, SSO), Conditional Access, MFA, Certificates, Secrets, Key Vault, managing Office365 applications, PowerShell scripting, Intune, Microsoft Exchange, project management experience, and familiarity with Agile methodologies and the Scrum framework.
Essential Job Functions
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments on-prem and in an Azure Cloud platform.
  • Manage and administer Active Directory, including user accounts, group policies, and security permissions.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Implement and manage Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Entra ID, Azure Networking, Azure Storage, Azure Security, Azure Identity, Azure MFA/SSO/SAML/RBAC/CAP
  • Design and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions for Windows Server environments.
  • Manage Windows Server environments on a VMware Platform.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and expansions.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices in all aspects of system administration.
  • Automate routine tasks and processes using PowerShell or other scripting languages.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices related to Windows Server and Azure Cloud services.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and end-users as needed.
  • Knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures and technologies.
  • Manage and support Microsoft Exchange in a Hybrid Environment
Education and Certification Desired
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Azure Fundamentals - AZ-900
Additional Characteristics
  • Ability to accept after-hours calls for support and guidance, including "on-call."
  • This is a "remote/hybrid" position in Atlanta and the candidate should be comfortable with occasionally commuting to the Atlanta corporate office or Datacenter.
  • Proficient with developing publications, white papers, diagrams, and presentations.
  • Occasional domestic travel may be required.
