HireArt is helping Woven Planet hire an experienced Fullstack Engineer. As a full stack engineer on the Online Services team, you will be exposed to a wide range of technologies, such as web applications, web-based micro-services, custom UI component libraries, and cloud infrastructure. You will be innovating on solutions from the ground up.


In this role, you will be an important contributor in the vision to evolve "transportation" into "mobility", harmonizing the best of "Silicon Valley innovation" and "Toyota craftsmanship". If you enjoy pioneering technologies, and working with a team as passionate as yourself, this is your place!


We're looking for candidates with 3+ years of fullstack engineering experience. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in TypeScript, module systems, and other frontend/backend technologies (e.g. NextJS, React, and Tailwind).


As a Fullstack Engineer, you'll:
  1. Be an experienced engineer who enjoys collaborating with other engineers and disciplines. Participate in fostering a close knit team that respects and works toward supporting each other.
  2. Be excited to solve user experience issues, using their knowledge of design systems, responsiveness, performance considerations, etc.
  3. Collaborate with other engineers to design and build backend systems such as databases and APIs.
  4. Integrate the company's backend systems with frontend components.
  5. Participate in building and maintaining the company's shared component library.
  6. Support the teams DevOps needs, with development involving GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, AWS, and Terraform.
  7. Practice and respect the agile methodology and its roots in Toyota’s history.
Minimum Requirements:
  1. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) in Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline
  2. 3+ years experience in Fullstack engineering
  3. Ability to discuss basic software engineering concepts
  4. Enjoys collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams
Preferred Experience:
  1. Proven ability to define and implement metrics, and practice metrics driven development
  2. Solid understanding of web security and evolving web security standards
  3. Experience working with identity providers such as Microsoft Entra or Okta, and able to implement access control in services and applications
  4. Experience with 3D, visualizations, or simulations

Commitment:

This is a full-time, 4-month contract position staffed via HireArt and based in Seattle, WA. This role will be remote and open to candidates able to work PST hours. Must have some overlap work with core hours which are typically between 9AM-5PM PST.
