The Work
This Quality Engineering position will support the RMS Stratford facility Assembly and Flight Operations (AFO) on 1st shift. The position will report to the AFO Quality Engineering Manager in the RMS Sikorsky line of business, in Stratford, CT. This role is for a full time on-site position.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborates with operations management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, supplier quality and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place.
- Support final assembly operations in root cause investigations and shop floor process/product improvement plans.
- Participate in quality planning for Sikorsky in-house production.
- Collaborate with Supplier Quality on supplier escapes, quality issues and improvements.
- Support internal and external audits of our quality systems, policies and procedures.
- Support Quality Management System (QMS) development and improvement activities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Professional experience and background in Quality Assurance, Project Management or related technical discipline.
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.
Desired Skills:
- Experience work in ISO 9001 or AS9100 certified Quality Management System.
- Experience with applying Quality concepts and tools including root cause/corrective action.
- First Article Inspection.
- SAP and/or Solumina Experience.
- Model Based Design Experience.
- Previous experience working in an aerospace manufacturing environment.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
