The purpose of this role is to oversee and perform quality assurance and quality control process mapping for the review, tracking, and management of design drawings, specifications and documents prepared during the engineering design process in order to ensure regulatory, legal, and security compliance. You will work alongside internal partner teams such as Engineering, Power and Cooling (PAC), Security, Controls, and Commissioning to build Data Centers that directly support our customers to resolve quality and process issues. You will also communicate with external stakeholder design consultants.

To be a successful Amazon Data Center Document Quality Engineer, you need to have a positive attitude, knowledge of the commercial industry design and construction process, experience reviewing technical and contractual documentation, and strong communication skills. You will have experience creating Smartsheet Control Center solutions, workspaces, power apps, sheets, reports, workflows, dashboards and experience using BI tools (such as QuickSight, Tableau, etc.) and have a foundational understanding of working with large structured and unstructured datasets.

The Quality Engineer manages the intake of design consultant documentation and data, reviews documentation for quality compliance and completeness, and updates stakeholders with progress of the final workflow documentation processing. The Quality Engineer should expect high volumes for documentation and will need to exercise strong judgement on how to communicate and engage stakeholders through various tools.

We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.
