About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team, dedicated to developing interfaces between broadcast video stream processing components and observability/orchestration platforms. This person will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing digital interfaces and plugins for seamless data transfers, working closely with video broadcast engineers to gain a deep understanding of video stream delivery and ensure optimized performance. This role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of innovative technology and contribute to the future of broadcast center operations.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop APIs and plugins for real-time data transfer between video stream processing components and observability/orchestration platforms.
- Collaborate with video broadcast engineers to understand their needs and translate them into technical specifications.
- Implement code using best practices and adhering to high coding standards.
- Conduct rigorous testing and participate in debugging and troubleshooting activities.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in the broadcast and software development domains.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
- Document code and technical processes clearly and concisely.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, preferably with a focus on back-end development.
- Strong understanding of software development principles.
- Experience with APIs and data structures.
- Proficient in C# or a similar object-oriented programming language (experience with Golang is a plus).
- Familiarity with data transfer protocols and methodologies.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and a passion for learning new technologies.
Nice to Haves:
- Knowledge of broadcast or media domain is helpful.
- Experience with Skyline Dataminer.
