Verily's core strategy to advance precision health is by closing the gap between research and care. Our team is responsible for delivering warm, personalized experiences for patients/participants and an adaptive, streamlined experience bridging care delivery and clinical research worlds. Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and expand multiple teams of software engineers. Team sizes are about 3-5 Software Engineers
- Help shape technical strategy, planning, execution, resourcing and success of complex mission critical projects.
- Empower engineers to make sound technical decisions through mentorship and collaboration.
- Oversee detailed designs, implementation, and test plan reviews to ensure high quality deliverables.
- Define engineering productivity success metrics for the team and create processes to continuously improve product delivery.
- Support career development for your team through structured and informal feedback, calibrations and mentorship.
Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on technical leadership and people management experience of a team of at least 5 software engineers.
- 5+ years of hands-on programming experience.
- 5+ years of working within an Agile SDLC.
- 10 years of experience in system-level software development with 5 years of hands-on technical leadership and people management experience of a team of 8-10 SWEs.
- 3+ years of experience collaborating with cross organizational teams and leadership.
