Job Overview:
As the Chief Engineer at Home2 Suites by Hilton Georgetown Austin North, you will be responsible for managing the entire engineering and maintenance operations within the hotel. Your pivotal role ensures that all mechanical systems function seamlessly and that the physical condition of the hotel exceeds our standards for guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Manage the maintenance staff and oversee the day-to-day engineering operations.
Develop and execute maintenance and improvement schedules for all hotel equipment and infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory guidelines.
Coordinate with hotel management to implement energy-saving measures.
Respond promptly to all hotel and guest maintenance needs.
Prepare budgeting, expense forecasts, and reports on facility status.
Train and mentor maintenance staff on operational procedures and troubleshooting techniques.
Collaborate with external contractors and suppliers.
Maintain an inventory of necessary supplies and equipment.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Chief Engineer or similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other mechanical systems.
Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
Ability to lead and motivate a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations and emergency scenarios.
Additional Requirements:
Passing results from a background and drug screening.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
