Backend Software Engineer

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building large-scale software applications
• Evidence of exposure to architectural patterns of a large, high-scale web application (e.g., well-designed APIs, high-volume data pipelines, efficient algorithms)
• Knowledge of Kotlin, Java, or Python
• Excellent debugging and optimization skills
• Unit/integration testing experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or engineering

Responsibilities

• Automate the process of identifying and measuring data risk from 3rd party vendors and tools in a security organization at the Client
• Work across the full stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive user experiences and measurable business growth
• Develop new features and infrastructure development in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements
• Interact with cloud-based applications via their APIs
• Assume leadership of new projects from conceptualization to deployment
• Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful application design
• Work with agile development methodologies, adhering to best practices and pursuing continued learning opportunities
• Participate in all aspects of agile software development including design, implementation, and deployment
• Collaborate across time zones via Slack, GitHub comments, documents, and frequent video conferences

Benefits

• Pay Range: $55/hr to $75/hr on W2
