Our client is looking for someone with strong technical knowledge and proven planning skills to take on the role of Estimating Engineer for their petro-chemical product line. This position is responsible for providing accurate and timely estimates of materials, labor, and lead times for this product line.

What you will be doing:
  • Review of customer specifications and drawings.
  • Estimating required internal resources, obtaining information on outside components and services, and adapting customer designs to fit our manufacturing processes.
  • Provide estimates that form the critical foundation for the petro-chemical sales department's pricing and product line profitability.
  • Identifying and assessing the risk potential of new business opportunities.
  • Maintaining a close working relationship with engineering to drive improvements to the product line.
What they are looking for:
  • Bachelors degree in a technical field is strongly preferred, but strong knowledge and experience will be considered.
  • Must have an understanding of the petro-chemical industry, foundry and fabrication techniques, processes and applications.
  • Must have some experience with product design.
  • Strong computer knowledge including spreadsheets and database skills is required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are also essential.
