Position Summary:
Using Lean Tools, works with teams to actively identify, promote, and complete Continuous Improvement initiatives at Aerofil Technology, Inc.
Essential Functions:
- Identify opportunities and complete projects to make process improvements, gain efficiency, reduce waste, and reduce costs.
- Implementing engineering controls and projects to support completion of CI initiatives.
- Planning, facilitating, and executing continuous improvement activities & Kaizen events.
- Teaching, leading, and coaching cross-functional teams on various Continuous Improvement tools (including but not limited to: 6S, Standard Work, Value Stream Mapping, Changeover Reduction, etc.).
- Communicate program progress and pitfalls to management and team leaders on a regular basis.
- Provide teams and members visibility, recognition, and acknowledgment for progress and accomplishments.
- Work with teams to actively promote Continuous Improvement throughout the organization.
- Be the out-spoken catalyst for Continuous Improvement initiatives at ATI.
- Regular attendance per handbook policy.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
- The worker occasionally operates a computer and other office machinery such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
- Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately.
- Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.

- The worker is subject to noise: There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout to be heard above the ambient noise level.

Engineering or technical degree required
Experience:
5+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
Prior experience utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and/or other Continuous Improvement tools a plus.
Additional Qualifications:
- Understanding of plant operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, good analytical skills, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Computer literate or be able to train on programs needed to perform the job.
- Detail oriented.
- Organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask.
