We are currently seeking an Architectural Drafter/Designer with 3+ years of experience to join our client’s team in Nashville, TN. This is a contract to hire or direct hire position with our client.
We are searching for motivated Designers or Architects who are interested in working with a successful multidisciplinary firm specializing in commercial and industrial design projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in industrial and commercial architectural design, coupled with proficiency in Revit software. As an Architectural Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing architectural solutions for a variety of projects.
Our client utilizes multiple delivery methods including partnering, design-build, and conventional bidding. They are licensed to practice in most states and because of their license coverage, more than half of their clients are national businesses, which has allowed them to work with some well-known brands.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and objectives.
Develop conceptual designs and translate them into detailed architectural plans using Revit software.
Produce comprehensive construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and schedules.
Conduct site visits and surveys to gather necessary information for project development.
Ensure that designs comply with local building codes, regulations, and zoning laws.
Review and coordinate with consultants and contractors to resolve design issues and ensure project quality.
Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in architectural design and technology.
Participate in design reviews, presentations, and client meetings to communicate project progress and solicit feedback.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of the firm's design standards and processes.
Requirements:
Associate’s, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial and commercial architectural design.
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit software is required.
Strong design and visualization skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards.
Experience with other design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or BlueBeam is a plus.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Professional licensure or eligibility for licensure is preferred but not required.
