UGL are seeking an experienced E&I Workpack Engineer to join our Perth based team to support a large gas plant in Karratha, WA . This role is set to commence in October/November 2024.

As an E&I Workpack Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing the technical documentation and work scopes required for the installation, testing, maintenance, and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems on the project.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Development of Workpacks: Create detailed workpacks for E&I activities, ensuring all necessary information is included for efficient project execution.
  2. Interpret Engineering Drawings: Review and interpret E&I technical drawings and schematics.
  3. Collaboration: Work closely with multiple disciplines/departments such as the procurement and construction teams to gather necessary information and ensure workpacks are accurate and comprehensive.
  4. Scheduling and Planning: Develop and maintain detailed schedules and plans for all E&I activities, ensuring alignment with overall project timelines.
  5. Quality Control: Ensure all workpacks meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
  6. Problem Solving: Identify potential issues and provide practical solutions to ensure project progress remains on track.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience as a Workpack Engineer in E&I disciplines, preferably in brownfields or similar construction projects.
  2. History of practical construction/trade experience.
  3. Strong understanding of construction processes, industry standards, and safety regulations.
  4. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  5. Proficiency in relevant software and tools for workpack development and project management.
  6. Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks effectively.
