Office Engineer

Hill International is seeking an Office Engineer in San Jose, California

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Rail, Transit or Highway experience preferred.
• Proven track record of effective communication within team and with stakeholders.
• Utilizes Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word).
• Utilizes Adobe Acrobat.
• Valid California Class C driver’s license.
• Position is on-site in Santa Clara County.

The salary range for this position is $114,000 - $145,000. The offered salary will be based on the applicant's qualifications, education, experience, and work location.

Responsibilities

• Review and process requests for information (RFI's).
• Develop, prepare, and process change orders, proceed orders, and all relevant documentation.
• Organize and maintain construction records, office files, and filing systems; update log of required construction reports and correspondence.
• Ensure project documentation is processed in a timely manner.
• Review contractor monthly pay applications and verify payment quantities.
• Prepare and review the adequacy and accuracy per the contract.
• Prepare and develop a variety of reports and correspondence on project matters including daily, weekly, monthly, and final completion reports, contract modifications, engineering changes, and correspondence with contractors on fulfillment of requirements.
• Review and process submittals, perform quantity take-offs, attend meetings, and prepare meeting minutes.
• Update and post construction plan sets.
• Provide support and assistance in contract administration; perform project closeout.
• Perform other project support duties as needed.
