Senior Software Engineer - Security

The Apple Services Engineering Security team builds and provides secure systems and infrastructure that fuel Apple’s services (such as iCloud, Music, Siri, and the App Store). As part of the ASE Security team, you will help manage the security needs of Apple’s services around the world. You will build and integrate the security controls, guardrails, and frameworks that help protect our customers' data in Apple’s infrastructure. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who will play an important role in helping us build solutions to a variety of outstanding security challenges in the software supply chain. Description:

This is a highly collaborative role where you will be working with infrastructure and platform teams to build and integrate security frameworks, tools, and controls. You will be accountable to produce quality software that meets service level objectives. Your everyday activities will include designing code, testing, estimating, fixing, and deploying security services and features. You will also participate in code and security reviews to help your peers meet high standards for infrastructure at Apple. You will do research, prototyping, and present ideas and designs to your team, management, and internal customers.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of work experience in infrastructure or security engineering
• Experience in software supply chain engineering
• Experience using development and integration processes (CI/CD)
• Proficiency in the following languages: Golang, Java
• Experience working with and understanding the design of distributed systems with high performance and availability
• Experience with gRPC
• Experience operating Linux and macOS, and scripting languages like Bash
• Understanding principles of building and deploying software, process, and monitoring (SDLC)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment, listen, provide empathy, and raise the best in your peers
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience in a related field

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $166,600 and $296,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
