This is a rapidly growing technology company that recently closed a $7 million seed round. They're seeking a talented and experienced Solutions/Pre-Sales Engineer to join our team and help us scale our operations.
Position Summary:
As a Solutions Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving customer success and technical excellence. You will work closely with prospective and existing customers to understand their business needs and translate them into technical solutions. Your expertise in dbt, SQL, and big data technologies will be instrumental in ensuring customer satisfaction and driving adoption of our products.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Expertise:
- Demonstrate deep understanding of dbt, SQL, and big data platforms like Redshift, Snowflake, and Big Query.
- Provide technical guidance and support to customers throughout the sales cycle.
- Conduct technical assessments and proof-of-concepts to validate product fit.
- Customer Engagement:
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support.
- Solution Design:
- Collaborate with product teams to develop innovative solutions that address customer needs.
- Design and implement data pipelines and workflows using dbt and other tools.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolutions.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience working with dbt, SQL, and big data platforms.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
- Experience in a customer-facing role, such as presales, consulting, or technical support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
- Hands on experience with dbt is a must
