Maintenance Engineer – Guyana

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, maintain and improve the specific Unit Maintenance, Spares and Planning Strategy for specific assigned Unit(s).
  • Responsible to keep the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) “as built” and up to date.
  • Maintain an overview of the high-level planning for ongoing maintenance activities, overhauls and shutdowns.
  • Responsible for coordinating the “Risk Based” maintenance/spares studies and processes and their correct implementation into the CMMS, based on and in line with the corporate maintenance and equipment strategies.

Main Tasks:

  • Coordinate on a daily basis the ongoing offshore maintenance activity and provide general maintenance advice and assistance in order to prevent excessive backlogs or downtime.
  • Coordinate Unit specific Maintenance Plans and look ahead to meet Asset objectives through a 4-to-8-week plan including the management of third-party scopes required for mobilization offshore.
  • Ensure all third-party work scopes have sufficient work packs, work orders and materials before mobilization and that reporting of work when complete is recorded in CMMS before or after demobilization.
  • Ensure the CMMS is in line with Safety Case Performance Standards and ABS Survey requirements while acting as focal point for Class and Flag authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with local legislation and industry best practice by actively monitoring changes and trends. Advise Operations Manager of risks and opportunities associated with compliance and implement agreed solutions.
  • Develop periodic CMMS/Spares progress reports.
  • Take ownership of the CMMS and verify and approve before implementation into the CMMS all deliverables related to the Tag Register, Location and Functional Hierarchy after projects or major modifications.
  • Verify and approve before implementation into the CMMS the results of Functional Criticality Assessment (FCA).
  • Ensure preservation, maintenance and inspection work orders are scheduled in time following project commissioning handover, voyage and first oil requirements.
  • Management of Change of the CMMS up to as built and hand over to operations and during operations: initiating PMCRs and changes identified on new revisions of design documents.
  • Follow up on Hazop and Design review actions that require mitigation through spares, inspection and or maintenance.
  • Align CMMS with other integrity and regulatory tools.
  • Interrogate CMMS to identify opportunistic work that could be carried out on machinery if it was down unexpectedly.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • HNC level qualification or equivalent in an associated business or Engineering discipline.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Projects.
  • User and/or development experience with CMMS systems (AMOS or equivalents).
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Oil & Gas sector or shipping industry with a maintenance execution background.
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
  • Ability to work independently and quickly assess and prioritize situations.
  • Proactive, good interpersonal communication skills and strong commitment to a team culture.
  • Ability to travel internationally medium and long-term including offshore.
