Senior Viaduct Design Engineer M/F

Reporting to the Civil Design Review Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, compliance, and efficiency of viaduct designs to be undertaken by the Design & Build Contractors for large-scale railways projects. As a Senior Viaduct Design Review Engineer, your expertise will contribute to the successful delivery of viaduct structures by providing insightful reviews, recommendations, and quality assurance throughout the design and delivery process.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient viaduct design is achieved in accordance with Design Criteria and relevant standards.
• Liaise with internal and external parties on all civil & structural and viaduct design matters and advise the Engineering Manager and the Senior Project Management regularly.
• Co-ordinate the review of the Contractor's structural and Viaduct submission and assist the project management in conveying a timely response to the contractor.
• Identify and resolve potential design-related issues during the construction phase.
• Carry out any other duties as required by the Authority's Project management team, including attending technical meetings and discussions, preparation of minutes of technical meetings, and providing technical support as required in the evaluations of Contractor's claims.
• Ensure that the design intent is translated to construction on site by means of correct drawings and specifications.

Profile

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 15 years’ experience in the same field.
• Strong track record in planning and scheduling in the design and construction of large-scale civil engineering projects; Rail, metro, or related project experience is desirable.
