Job Description
BreakPoint Labs is seeking a Software Developer to work remotely within the National Capital Region . This position will support the development, maintenance and operation of a mission critical application. The technology stack includes a containerized Ruby on Rails application supported by a PostgreSQL database that runs within an AWS environment. A DevSecOps software development methodology is employed to provide real time updates to the production environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Utilizing GitLab for DevSecOps (CI/CD) pipeline, branching, merging, and code reviews
- Design and test code features in Ruby
- Troubleshoot and debug issues within the development and production environments (Linux-based)
- Manage the orchestration of technology stack through the use of Docker/docker compose
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Required Experience:
- Proven experience as a software developer
- Experience with Docker/containers and docker compose
- Solid understanding of Linux operating system fundamentals
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork is a must
Required Clearance: Active Top Secret
