This inclusive employer is a member of myGwork – the largest global platform for the LGBTQ+ business community.

At Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), we act with the speed and attitude of a start-up and with the scale and customer focus of a leading enterprise software company in the world.

Values are OCI’s foundation and how we deliver excellence. We strive for equity, inclusion, and respect for all. We are committed to the greater good in our products and our actions. We are constantly learning and taking opportunities to grow our careers and ourselves. We challenge each other to stretch beyond our past to build our future. At every level, our leaders have a significant technical and business impact designing and building innovative new systems to power our customers’ business-critical applications.

This role is to build and lead the Site-to-Site VPN service necessary for customers to connect to the cloud from their on-premises environment. The service's stability, reliability, and feature richness are critical to ensure the customer workloads run seamlessly on the OCI cloud. Also, the leader will be responsible for building new services to simplify the connectivity model for other use cases and customer scenarios.

We’re looking for a Manager of Software Development with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in distributed systems, virtualized infrastructure, and highly available services. You should be comfortable with low-level operating systems development, be able to architect broad systems interactions, while being very hands-on, and be able to dive deep into any part of the stack and higher-level system interactions. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.

Key Responsibilities

  • You'll work with customers, your team of engineers, Product Management, and the senior leadership in the Networking organization at OCI to develop product and organizational strategy.
  • You'll support engineer growth and build the team to deliver on business-critical problems over time.
  • You'll engage with our field teams and support active customers who run their businesses on our services.
  • You'll require familiarity with cloud-based application development, experience designing, implementing and maintaining large-scale distributed systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building solutions on top of existing cloud providers.
  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals and network products offered by various cloud providers.
  • Experience in customer engagement or customer experience domain.

As a world leader in cloud solutions, Oracle uses tomorrow’s technology to tackle today’s problems. True innovation starts with diverse perspectives and various abilities and backgrounds.
