Mechanical Design Engineer

Cubic Machinery is a machine tool builder / robotics integrator based in Chino, CA.

We design custom machinery, factory automation equipment, and robotic cells for customers in aerospace, automotive, and other sectors.

We have many projects in the pipeline and are hiring mechanical design engineers.

Responsibilities:

1. Design complete factory automation equipment, motion controlled machine tools, or production lines.
2. Specify off-the-shelf components and design components that need to be machined in-house for assembly into an integrated system.
3. Work with pneumatic circuits and specify pneumatic actuators.
4. Collaborate with electrical control engineers and possess basic knowledge of PLC and motion control.
5. Deliver projects on time and on budget.
6. Model, validate designs, ensure design for manufacturing, and manage projects.
7. Experience with parts feeding systems is a plus.

Solidworks, Fusion 360, Excel
