Healthcare Lead Software Engineer

SUMMARY
This role is ideal for an experienced software engineer who excels in technical leadership and has a strong background in software development and architecture. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will guide a team of engineers, contribute to the design and implementation of software systems, and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions. Your role will involve code review, project management, and fostering a collaborative team environment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, providing technical direction and support to ensure successful project delivery.
2. Contribute to the design and architecture of software systems, focusing on scalability, reliability, and performance.
3. Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality, identify potential issues, and ensure adherence to best practices.
4. Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define project requirements, estimate timelines, and prioritize tasks.
5. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, actively participating in the development and implementation of software solutions.
6. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, encourage knowledge sharing, and promote continuous learning and improvement.
7. Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, API specifications, and development guidelines.
8. Troubleshoot technical issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions to ensure system stability and performance.
9. Keep up with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, leveraging this knowledge to drive innovation within the team.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
2. Proven experience (8+ years) as a software engineer, with a strong background in software development and architecture.
3. Experience in the healthcare domain.
4. Expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or similar, and proficiency in modern web development technologies (e.g., JavaScript, React, Node.js).
5. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
6. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team of engineers.
7. Experience with Agile development methodologies, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and DevOps practices.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.
