Annual Salary:
Engineer II: $85,176.00 - $103,558.00 Annually
Engineer III: $93,470.00 - $113,620.00 Annually

Fresno County's Department of Public Works and Planning is offering exciting career opportunities for motivated and dedicated individuals interested in becoming an Engineer II/III .
Incumbents in the Engineer classification series are assigned to various programs including: Construction, Design, Development Services, Road Maintenance & Operations, or Resources .
Positions in this classification are in Medical Group III - Heavy Physical Activity. This group includes positions which require heavy physical effort using arms, legs, back and trunk in frequent lifting, pushing, or pulling objects weighing over 25 pounds. Considerable bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, reaching, as well as standing and walking are involved. Physical stamina is usually required and explosive strength using bursts of energy may be required, depending upon specific position assignments.

Minimum Qualifications
ENGINEER II
Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural, or Structural Engineering or a closely related field.
Experience: One (1) year of full-time, paid professional engineering experience which included the use of Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to design roads, bridges, or other civil engineering projects.
Option 2:
Registration: Valid certification as an Engineer-in-Training by the State of California, Board of Registration for Professional Engineers.
Experience: One (1) year of full-time, paid engineering experience which included the use of Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.
License: Possession of a valid Class "C" driver's license, or equivalent, may be required.
ENGINEER III
Option 1:
Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural, or Structural Engineering or a closely related field.
Experience: Three (3) years of full-time, paid professional engineering experience which included the use of Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.
Option 2:
Registration: Valid certification as an Engineer-in-Training by the State of California, Board of Registration for Professional Engineers.
Experience: Three (3) years of full-time, paid engineering experience which included the use of Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.
License: Possession of a valid Class "C" driver's license, or equivalent, may be required.
