The Senior Developer programs and configures Trading Systems (i.e. Charles River IMS) to meet business needs. Under limited supervision, this job identifies and analyzes business trading system needs, writes complex code to optimize the performance and efficiency of the organization's trading systems, and conducts testing to ensure programs are functioning properly. This job is considered a subject matter expert in the Applications Development & Support area.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Uses experience and knowledge of Trading Systems (i.e. Charles River IMS) to develop interfaces and be able to troubleshoot and maintain complex SQL.
- Utilizes a software engineering approach that helps identify and mitigate risks.
- Communicates development status in a timely manner to key stakeholders, including metric reporting.
- Collaborates with IT and Business partners to design, develop, and troubleshoot end-to-end technical solutions.
- Completes testing in accordance with company standards and as defined in approved testing plans - this includes quality assurance and performance testing.
- Writes technical documentation of developed solutions for operational support.
- Uses knowledge of cloud technologies and implementations to maintain trading systems.
- Acts as a resource in API development in .NET or Java.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Required.
Work Experience
- 5+ Years Required; 7+ Years Preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Sedentary Work.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of asset management development experience.
- Experience developing software using SQL.
- Knowledge of programming languages like Python or C#.
- Knowledge of ETL / Reporting platform.
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Science.
- Experience developing software using:
- DevOps Pipeline Automation (Electric Flow, Terraform).
- Batch and Scripting Languages and Tools (Autosys / PowerShell / Python / Unix shell).
- SQL Server / Oracle.
- ETL knowledge.
- Experience with Agile and SDLC development methodologies using Jira.

Base Pay Range: $107,500/yr. - $179,100/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
