Software Engineer

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to contribute to a platform for modeling structured products, facilitating financial tasks, valuation, pricing, calculation, and cash-flow projections.

Role Overview

As a Software Engineer, you'll play a vital role in supporting, maintaining, and enhancing a cutting-edge application. You'll work with technologies such as ReactJS, Java, RESTful Web Services, Python, Anaconda, Azure DevOps, and PostgreSQL, ensuring the seamless operation of a financial platform.

Responsibilities

Application Support

• Provide 2nd level support
• Serve as a single point of contact for users and other IT teams
• Problem resolution, prioritization, and root cause analysis
• Code investigation and documentation

Bug Fixing

• Analyze complex problems and propose solutions
• Estimate and implement fixes
• Test and document solutions

Evolutive Maintenance

• Conduct business analysis as needed
• Design, implement, and test solutions
• Periodic clean-up and documentation

Release Management

• Manage branch operations (patching and merging)
• Configure and use build environments
• Coordinate with other IT teams
• Document release processes

Testing

• Conduct non-regression and pre-release testing
• Document test results
• Challenge existing processes for efficiency gains
• Document processes and provide training

Required Skills

• Software analysis, design, and testing
• Database programming using SQL
• Financial Sector applications
• Excellent command of English
• Ability to deliver within tight deadlines
• Strong Python experience (software development context, not just scripting)
• Python Flask proficiency
• PostgreSQL and SQL expertise (complex SQLs and optimization)
• RESTful Web Services

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years of experience in software development
• Experience in the financial sector is a plus
