Job Summary
The successful Senior Engineer will support a long-term program and work on one of the largest sewer rehabilitation projects, the Potomac Interceptor Program, for the firm's key regional client, DC Water. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Program Manager as part of the TYLin team located in the DC Potomac Interceptor Project field office at DC Water (Blue Plains Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant).
Responsibilities & Qualifications
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage sewer engineering design and consulting teams for complex assignments, including hydraulic and hydrologic calculations, utility plans, technical specifications, preliminary and final designs, bid assistance, design services during construction (DSDC), infrastructure condition assessment and rehabilitation, and cost estimating for pump stations, pipelines, treatment plants, and stormwater systems.
- Manage engineering projects including developing work delivery plans to manage resources, budget, schedule, deliverables, and client engagement.
- Manage multiple technical assignments simultaneously to participate and lead teams to complete assignments to the client's satisfaction while following the contract requirements and maintaining schedule and budget.
- Review engineering designs, bid packages, RFPs, and Statements of Work prepared by others, as part of a program management role in support of the client's Capital Improvement Plan implementation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering is required. MS. Degree preferred with 8+ years of experience in managing water and wastewater engineering design projects and team.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing development and implementation of design and construction contract documents for complex infrastructure projects.
- Certifications, Licenses: PE license is required. Must reciprocate license in DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
