Senior System Engineer

Tyto Athene is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to support our law enforcement customer in Quantico, VA. The Sr. Systems Engineer must possess an in-depth working knowledge and relevant experience designing, implementing, and maintaining complex networked computer systems. Must possess knowledge of state-of -the-art concepts in open system standards, design methodologies and tools such as entity relationship/dataflow diagrams, and object-oriented principles and systems engineering practices.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Audit Log Management support.
• Support Active Directory Domain Services, integrated DNS, and centrally controlled policy management.
• Support antivirus management and deployment, windows patch management, software development, inventory management, remote assistance, call center infrastructure support, server health monitoring, server performance monitoring, and network device monitoring within a virtualized environment.
• Work with team to complete all applicable system documentation, as-built diagrams, and Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M).
• Provide expert knowledge and support using Visual Basic (VB) scripting and PowerShell.
• Assist the customer with defining security requirements, vulnerability patching, and implementation of multi-factor authentication mechanisms.
• Support security configuration to virtualized hosts of multi-tiered high availability (HA)/Clustered applications and database.
• Provide systems analysis, technical writing, and the use of Visio, Word, and Excel in support of associated project documentation.

Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
• B.S. degree or equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field with 8 years of work experience, or 15 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Required:

• Must have eight years or more of technical experience as a systems engineer supporting large complex customer projects.
• Microsoft Server and associated workstation certifications.
