Description
We are looking for a Lead Network Engineer to join our team at Leidos, supporting a digital modernization program vital to Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and Department of Defense (DoD) Fourth Estate Agencies. As the Lead Network Engineer, you will be responsible for providing thought leadership, designing and operating network services in Azure Cloud and data centers, and ensuring network security compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to the network engineering team
- Design and operate LANs, WLANs, and WANs using Infrastructure as Code and Ansible Automation Platform
- Lead the migration to IPv6
- Automate network changes across various platforms and Azure Cloud
- Contribute to the design of the enterprise's network architecture
- Enforce security best practices and guidelines
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with software defined networking solutions
- Expert understanding of networking in LAN, WAN, TCP/UDP, IPSec, VPN, routing, and firewalls
- Experience with dual-stack networking (IPv4 and IPv6)
- Knowledge of security policies and standards such as NIST, FedRAMP, and FISMA
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Certification such as Security + or CISSP
Preferred Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- Certified Cisco Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent
- Experience with Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, and IPAM)
