Appian is looking for an Associate Application Engineer to develop large-scale applications that support internal Appian employees around the world. In this role, you will become an expert on our software, working directly with internal stakeholders throughout the entire life-cycle of projects to define, design, and implement business process based solutions.
To be successful in this role, you need:
- To leverage experience in a range of critical process improvement disciplines, including business process management, knowledge management, personalization, business intelligence, and application integration on the Appian platform.
- To utilize a varied skill set and experience to construct, implement, and deploy process-centric business process management solutions based on Appian software.
- To analyze a client’s business strategy, their business processes, and develop technical solutions to support their business strategy.
- To design prototypes, model business processes, and analyze requirements.
- To implement quality assurance plans, load testing and roll-out plans.
- To triage and troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing support to various business applications.
- To have excellent communication skills and a solid foundation of, or passion for, technology.
Basic Qualifications:
- B.S. or M.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Math, or equivalent background.
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL or similar) including designing data models and entity relationship diagrams from business use cases.
