Currently we are seeking a highly skilled Programmer Analyst with extensive experience in mainframe systems and specialized knowledge of life and annuity policy administration platforms , particularly Vantage (Wealth Management Accelerator) and Cyberlife . This role requires expertise in legacy systems, with responsibilities spanning system enhancements, integrations, and conversions within our policy administration ecosystem. The ideal candidate will be a critical team player who helps drive innovation while maintaining and optimizing existing platforms.
Responsibilities
- Mainframe Development : Design, develop, and maintain systems using COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 , and related mainframe technologies.
- Policy Administration : Support and enhance Vantage (Wealth Management Accelerator) and Cyberlife policy administration systems for life insurance and annuity products.
- System Integrations : Lead or assist in the integration of new software applications with existing mainframe systems, focusing on seamless data flow and user experience.
- Conversions & Migrations : Contribute to system conversion projects, including policy administration upgrades, migrations, and platform integrations.
- Troubleshooting & Support : Provide production support by identifying and resolving issues, ensuring system reliability and data integrity.
- Collaboration : Work closely with business analysts, architects, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop efficient solutions.
- Compliance : Ensure all system upgrades, changes, and processes comply with industry regulations, including SOX and insurance standards .
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in life and annuity policy administration, with a focus on Vantage (WMA) and Cyberlife systems.
- Proficient in mainframe programming languages such as COBOL, JCL, CICS , and databases like DB2 .
- Strong understanding of life insurance and annuity products , including policy administration processes .
- Hands-on experience with system migrations , upgrades , and integrations .
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide production support.
- Experience working in a regulated environment , ensuring system compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with other life and annuity administration systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and tools used in life and annuity policy administration.
- Previous experience with DevOps practices and automation in a mainframe environment is advantageous.
