Job DescriptionThe Controls and Avionics Solutions (CAS) business is experiencing unprecedented growth. Our two design centers in Endicott, New York and a new state of the art development center in Austin, Texas are the home for our next generation technical solutions. Engineers will develop flight and mission-critical products for more than 170 commercial and military customers. In this position you will support the development and product support of advanced avionics, forboth military and commercial aircraft, including jet engine control computers, flight control systems, aircraft electric propulsion systems, cabin and cockpit electronics.As a Principal Analog Circuit Design Engineer you will make impacts in the following ways;Design, analysis and verification of analog-to-digital converted interfaces such as RTDs, thermocouples, strain gauges, VDTs, synchros, resolvers and various voltage and current monitors.Design, analysis and verification of digital-to-analog converted interfaces such as solenoid and relay drivers, torque motor drivers, stepper motor drivers, voltage and current sources.Collaborate with EMI and Systems Engineers to design for and test lightning protection circuitryCircuit design tasks consists of part selection, schematic capture, PWB layout and routing support, circuit performance analysis and simulation and design verification testingConduct research and development that improves processing capability, signal integrity, reliability while reducing size, weight, area, power and cost (SWAP-C)Design new or modifies existing products, develops technical specifications for production, analyzes hardware configuration and processing solutions, and tests hardware conformance to specifications.Collaborate with and support other functional areas such as electronic packaging, firmware, systems engineering, test equipment and operations.Engineers at our Endicott NY location support the following two Business Area sControls & Avionics Solutions (CAS):In Controls & Avionics Solutions, you will have the opportunity to help define and develop the next generation of avionics whether it is fly-by-wire flight controls, full authority digital engine controls, or power management & propulsion for future aircraft. & Propulsion Solutions (PPS):In Power & Propulsion Solutions, we re involved with everything from providing efficient, power management on military vehicles to developing eco-friendly, hybrid and electric systems for the commercial world. Education, Experience, & SkillsBSEE, with 6 or more years of analog design experienceExperience with mixed-signal ADC and DACsExperience with analog signal conditioningExperience with design analysis tools such as LTSpice, PSpice, Matlab and MathCad.Experience performing component level analog circuit stress and derating analysExperience in circuit tolerance analysis considering end of life and environmental limitsExperience in designing for EMI and Lightning ProtectionFamiliar with PWB design, component layout and trace routingPreferred Education, Experience, & SkillsMSEE with 10 years of analog design experience within the aerospace industryExperience in designing for and testing to MIL-STD-461 EMI and Lightning standardsHighly proficient in design analysis tools such as LTSpice, PSpice, Matlab and MathCadExperience with mitigating fault propagation and failure mode effect analysis (FMEA)Ability to write technical requirement specifications for avionic hardwareSome experience with RF Circuit DesignSome experience in DC/DC and AC/DC power conversionSome experience in digital circuit designPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $102200 - $173700Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
