Position: Environmental Consultant or Environmental Engineering Project Manager (CG07/CG08)
Location: Alameda, CA, US
Salary Range: $85,000 - $130,000 Annually
Cameron-Cole was established in 2001 as an independent environmental services firm and joined the ADEC Innovations group of companies in September 2021. Our staff has provided services to a diverse clientele in various industries, including transportation, consumer products, construction materials, financial services, internet services, manufacturing, petrochemical, aerospace, waste management, and government sectors.
We are seeking an Environmental Consultant or Environmental Engineering Project Manager to join our team. This role involves designing, performing, and overseeing engineering, design, and construction of remedial systems with little or no supervision. The successful candidate will report to the Regional Manager and be accountable to the Senior Staff.
This person should have strong client relationships in California and/or Colorado and broad experience with environmental-focused projects, project management, site assessment, characterization, remediation, and understanding of groundwater extraction and treatment systems.

Essential Job Functions Include:
- Preparation of project documents in accordance with client requirements and Cameron-Cole guidelines and procedures.
- Primary contact and interface with clients and regulators.
- Provide technical oversight on project-specific engineering requirements.
- Design and oversee engineering projects.
- Management of remediation system operation and maintenance projects.
- Manage assigned projects, including budget tracking, invoice approval, team management, and provide high-level consulting and support.
- Participate in the proposal and budget creation process.
- Supervise Level I and II staff remotely or occasionally on-site.
- Experience with vapor mitigation systems and HVAC systems is a plus.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education, Certifications, Training, Licenses, and Experience:
- Professional Engineering Registration (PE) or EIT preferred but not required.
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPR.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- 2+ years of experience in Project Management.
- 5-10 years of professional consulting experience in Site Assessment, Characterization, and Remediation.
- Experience and understanding of groundwater extraction and treatment systems.
- Ability to mentor junior staff.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
The position operates in both a professional office setting and outdoor settings relating to engineering fieldwork. Staff should be equally comfortable in both environments. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, walk, stoop, and lift. The employee may spend extended periods sitting in front of a computer or laptop and is required to have finger dexterity. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
