What will your role be?
The SAP ABAP Developer role involves designing, developing, and implementing SAP solutions to meet business requirements. This includes analyzing user needs, customizing SAP modules, and ensuring effective integration with existing systems. The role also encompasses monitoring and tracking application incidents and performance, conducting root cause analysis, proposing functional and technical solutions, and reviewing and validating solution proposals as needed in case of incidents, problem, change, configuration, and event management. Additionally, you will handle Master Data Updates, User Creation, Printer Management, troubleshoot SAP modules (HR, SD, MM, QM, WMS, and Autostore integration with SAP and ECC6 R3 environment), and provide end-user support.
Activities:
- Development, testing, and maintenance of ABAP code
- Writing technical documentation
- Close collaboration with business key users and SAP service or cluster owners
- Apply and further develop SAP best practices and golden rules
- Perform in-depth root cause analysis and quality and performance improvements
- Monitoring and tracking application incidents and performance
- Proposing functional and technical solutions
- Reviewing and validating solution proposals for incidents, problems, changes, configurations, and event management
- Proactive collaboration with international/multifunctional teams throughout the entire product lifecycle in the ERP Competence & Delivery Center
- Work within an integrated, multidisciplinary, and often highly virtual team to strict schedules
- Participation in S/4 strategies for the future SAP landscape in the national ERP area
- Guidance and support of junior developers in the department together with the management team
- Ensure that development guidelines are correctly implemented within the change management process
- Master Data Update management
- User Creation for SAP systems
- Printer management and troubleshooting
- Troubleshooting of SAP modules (HR, SD, MM, QM, WMS) and Autostore integration with SAP
- Providing end-user support and training
What skills and qualifications are we looking for?
- Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders . This is a requirement for accessing classified information and materials.
- Practical experience in ABAP programming
- Knowledge of SAP - HR, MM, SD, WM, QM, PP, Finance and Controlling. ECC6 R3 environment knowledge
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Google Sheets (basic functions, pivot tables), Google Docs
- ServiceNow knowledge
- .Net knowledge
- Team Foundation Server (TFS) knowledge needed
